About
MDMS, also known as Mark Deadmus or Musiol is a Warsaw and Brussels-based electronic musician, producer and DJ.
He explores techno and beyond during hybrid sets, combining own productions and remixes with the genre’s classics and contemporaries, with sounds, effects, live interventions, and visuals.
MDMS has experimented with different genres of electronic music, from improvised, electroacoustic and concrete to industrial, dark electro, and now techno.
He has released seven albums under his various projects, including Rh+ [a joint of audiovisual performers] and Das Moon and has been touring for over a decade in clubs and venues across Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Belgium.
He has performed at major European festivals such as Electronic Beats, Mayday, Wave Gotik Treffen, Castle Party, and Heineken Open’er, sharing the stage with artists like Westbam, Squarepusher, James Blake, Jazzanova, Front Line Assembly, Psychic TV, and many others.
He has remixed tracks by Eugeniusz Rudnik and Carl Craig.
MDMS studied production and composition of electronic music at the Boston Berkley College of Music. He runs a Warsaw based ngo and music label, Art and Progress / Unfolded organizing an annual electronic music festival – a Warsaw Dance Event (https://ra.co/events/2028275).
